T-NET CLUB LOVES RED: YOUTH GOT TALENT! 2014

SINGING COMPETITION

 

ELIGIBILITY (ALL CATEGORIES)

1. This competition is open to all youths aged between 11-35 (born in or after 1979 to December 2003).

2. All past winners (champion, runner-up and 2nd runner-up) from the Youth Got Talent! Singing Competition are not allowed to take part in the same category from their previous participation. However, you are still legible to take part in another category. 

 

GENERAL RULES (ALL CATEGORIES)

1. A minimum of two (2) and maximum of ten (10) participants are allowed in the Vocal Group and Band Group category.

2. No substitutions of participants / group members are allowed throughout the competition.

3. In the event whereby any of the group members is absent from the auditions; they will NOT be allowed to enter the competition again unless official supporting document are produced.

4. All finalists are required to report punctually for their scheduled timeslots on their audition.

5. Each participants / group will perform ONE song in any of the four languages – English, Chinese, Malay or Tamil.

6. Each participant / group will be given two minutes to perform without music for the audition.

7. No instrument or instrumentalist is allowed during auditions.

8. The use of instrument / use of instrumentalist by SOLO and VOCAL GROUP singing participants are only allowed during Semi-Finals and Finals.

9. Instrument used in the competitions are subjected to the Organiser’s approval.

10. Use of vulgar, sexually, explicit, satanic/black metal or violent language and/or lyrics is strictly prohibited.

11. All semi-finalists and finalists are required to provide their own music in minus-one soundtrack in a CD format, playable in CD player. In the event whereby the soundtrack format provided is not compatible or playable via the sound system, the organiser shall not hold responsible and the semi-finalist / finalist will have to sing without the music. Only minus one soundtrack prepared in CD format will be entertained. No thumbdrive / iphone / ipad / laptop / ipod /or any other devices.

12. All participants must inform the organizing committee at least 3 days before the auditions should he/she wish to withdraw from the competition or is unable to turn up for the allocated audition time slot. There will be no refund of registration fees in the event of withdrawal.

13. In the event of insufficient groups, the Organiser reserves the right to remove the group category from the competition.

14. The organising committee reserves the right to add, remove or vary the rules and regulations at any time it deems fit.

15. The organising committee reserves the right to change the dates and venues of competition if the need arises.

16. In any event of any question or matter, which is not expressively provided for in any of the rules governing the competition, the Organiser’s decision shall be final at any point in time.

17. In any event or circumstances where there are not enough participants, the competition will be postponed or cancelled. All participants will only be informed on the reporting time for registration (on the day of the competition) after the closing date. All registration fees paid will be refunded in full should the event be cancelled.

18. All participants are to be dressed appropriately for the auditions, Semi-Finals & Finals. Participants are to refrain from wearing any clothing bearing offensive language or graphics.

19. In the event of a dispute or enquiry arising over the participants, the competition shall be put under enquiry and protest. The organisers shall determine the matter on receipt of the protest in writing and a S$100.00 protest and enquiry fee (both to be submitted on the spot). In the event of the enquiry or protest being dismissed, the fees will be forfeited.

 

JUDGING AND RESULTS

1. Qualified judges will select winning participants from among the entrants based on applying the following criteria’s:

   - Pitching and Intonation (10%)

   - Rhythm Sense (10%)

   - Diction (10%)

   - Vocal Quality (10%)

   - Singing Technique and Control (15%)

   - Stage Performance (35%)

2. Upon selection, the decisions made by the panel of judges will be final. No correspondence pertaining to the selection process and decision will be entertained.

3. Participants / Group Leaders will be notified of the audition / Semi-Finals results on the following week either via phone/sms and/or email. 

4. The results for the Finals will be announced on the actual day of the event.  

 

PRIZES

1. Prizes are non-transferrable and non-exchangeable for cash or in kind.

2. To redeem the cash prizes, the winner must present his/her identification card number or passport, bearing the name and number corresponding to the information given in the Competition.

3. The Organisers are not liable for any last minute amendments made by the issuing company on the voucher’s terms and conditions.

ACCEPTANCE OF RULES AND REGULATIONS

1. Submission of entries signifies acceptance of the rules and regulations of the competition.

2. The organising committee and its representative accept NO liability whatsoever, in respect of any loss, damage or injury sustained by any participant during the course of competition.

3. The organising committee reserves the right to change the terms and conditions herein without prior notice. In case of dispute, the decision of the organising committee shall be final. 

4. Participants who fail to comply with the above stated rules and regulations will be disqualified.
