T-NET CLUB LOVES RED: YOUTH GOT TALENT! 2014

PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION

 

ELIGIBILITY

1. The competition is open to all Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents residing in Singapore.

2. Participants may only participate in one category, either the Junior (aged 11-17) or Open (aged 18-35) category.

 

SUBMISSION OF ENTRIES

  1. Each Entry consists of an entry form, a single softcopy and hardcopy image relating to the theme of the competition: “Where I belong”.

  2. Entry forms can be downloaded from T-Net Club Loves Red YOUth Got Talent! 2014 Facebook page or are available in the following T-net Club locations:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  1. Entries are considered valid when all the required fields in the form are completed.

  2. Each participant can submit up to 2 pictures, and each picture has to include a title and a short description of the photo containing 180-250 words.

  3. Each entry must comply with the following requirements (the "Photograph Requirements"):

    Images that have won prizes in prior competitions, or have been used for commercial purposes and/or been published will not be eligible.

    The images must not be more than 5 MB in size and Organisers may request for higher resolution images subsequently.

    Entries should be in JPEG format and at least 1,600 pixels wide for a horizontal image or 1,600 pixels tall for a vertical image.

    Digital manipulation that distorts the reality of the photos will not be allowed. Only basic enhancements such as sharpening, contrast adjustment, color correction or simple cropping will be allowed.

    The photograph must not, in the sole discretion of organisers, contain obscene, provocative, defamatory, sexually explicit, or otherwise objectionable or inappropriate content.

    Photographs with watermarks are not accepted.

  4. Once participants have submitted their softcopy images, the YGT organising committee will then upload the images on the T-Net Club Loves Red YOUth Got Talent! 2014 Facebook page on Sunday, 3 August 2014.

  5. The Organiser are not responsible for late, lost, incomplete, invalid, false, unintelligible or misdirected Submissions, which are void and will be disqualified.

 

 

COPYRIGHT/INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

  1. The photograph, in its entirety, must be a single work of original material taken by the Contest entrant. By entering the Contest, entrant represents, acknowledges, and warrants that the submitted photograph is an original work created solely by the entrant, that the photograph does not infringe on the copyrights, trademarks, moral rights, rights of privacy/publicity or intellectual property rights of any person or entity, and that no other party has any right, title, claim, or interest in the photograph.

  2. The Organiser reserves the right to reproduce any entry in print, broadcast and/or electronic media without requiring the permission of the participant and without any fee payment. However the photographer will be acknowledged.

  3. Images received through the photography competition will not be used for commercial purposes.

 

JUDGING AND RESULTS

  1. The competition consists of one (1) round of evaluation. The results of each round will comprise of Judge’s scores (which represents 60% of the results) and Facebook Votes (which represents 30% of the results).

  2. Winners will be selected according to the judging and voting phase described below. The phase includes the application of judging criteria with the winners being determined ultimately by a panel of photographic experts.

  3. The timetable for the voting phase starts at 0000hrs, 3rd August to 2359hrs, 10th August 2014.

  4. During the voting phase, all submissions will be posted in an online Facebook platform, “YGT Photography Competition for public voting. Limit: One vote (“like”) per each personal Facebook account. Participants are prohibited from obtaining votes by any fraudulen or inappropriate mans, including without limitation, creating multiple fraudulent Facebook accounts or offering prizes or other inducements to members of the public. Subject to the participant’s compliance with these rules, the top 5 winners for each category will be informed via email and through Facebook page by 13th August 2014

  5. The Organisers also reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to select an alternate prize winner should the voting appear to have been tampered with or manipulated in any way.

  6. For the judging phase, the qualified judges will select winning participants from among the entrants based on objectively applying the following criteria: Relevance and creativity in theme interpretation (20%), Technical Quality (10%), Visual and Aesthetics (20%), Content of image (30%), General Characteristics (20%)

  7. Upon selection, the decisions made by the panel of judge’s decision will be final. No correspondence pertaining to the selection process and decision will be entertained

  8. The winners will be notified by telephone, email and/or Facebook messages 10th August. The names of the winners will also be published on the YGT Singing and Photography Competition 2014 Facebook Page (https://www.facebook.com/pages/T-Net-Club-Loves-Red-YOUth-Got-Talent-2014/1516579785237312) on the same day

  9. In the event that a selected winner cannot be reached within 3 business days of the notification date, all rights to the prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner will be selected in accordance with the process described above from among all eligible entries received, time permitting.

 

PRIZES

  1. Prizes are non-transferrable and non-exchangeable for cash or in kind.

  2. To redeem the prizes, the winner must present his/her identification card or any other form of identification bearing the name and identity number corresponding to the information registered in the Competition. The Organiser may, at its sole and absolute discretion, declared any entry void if the winner fails to produce valid identification documents.  The winners must be able to collect the prize in person, on the date of Youth Got Talent! 2014 Photography Competition - Finals, 16th August 2014, 1500 Hours.

  3. The Organisers are not liable for any fault with any of the prizes and any issues should be referred to the Manufacturer/Supplier.

  4. The Organisers reserve the right to modify the competition prizes and its rules and regulations as and when necessary, without prior notice. 


ACCEPTANCE OF RULES AND REGULATIONS

  1. Submission of entries signifies acceptance of the rules and regulations of the competition.

  2. The Organiser will exercise due care during the collection, selection and storage of images, it shall not be held liable for any loss, theft or destruction of the images.

  3. The Organiser may, at its sole and absolute discretion, declare any entry void if in its opinion the information given by the participants is in any way unclear, uncertain, cannot be properly deciphered or foul play is suspected.

  4. The Organiser reserves the right to draw an alternative winner in his/her place.

  5. Winner's name, pictures and prizes may be used for publicity reasons. Winner’s information may be used for emailers, marketing, planning, promotions, research, events and/or any other purposes and programs henceforth. Acceptance of the prize is considered as consent to this usage.

  6. The Organiser reserves the right to change the terms and conditions herein without prior notice. In case of dispute, the Organiser’s decision shall be final.
